I love the 1800's and wish I could live back then or even wander what it would be like to be Amish.  I just feel like the world today is so rushed in everything we do.

My family and I have chosen to slow down and really enjoy life!  I used to run around and try to be here or there and try to please everyone and it just wore me out!  Besides, when we can relax and go at a more simple pace, then emotionally we are happy and well.

I'm Wendy, a mother of two wonderful teenagers and married to the love of my life, now for 19 years.  We live on 1 1/2 acres in the woods.  I believe in Jesus Christ and strive to live according to the way God wants us to by living a simple life. I love cooking from scratch with my iron skillets and making homemade pie dough. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty or work in the yard.

I have a thing for old barns, mason jars, burlap and vintage aprons.  I believe anyone can be a homesteader.  It doesn't matter how much property you have.  Start small and see what a bountiful harvest you will receive!

I've been homeschooling my kids for six years now and love all the time that we get to spend together.  We are also active in 4H.  Most of you might know me best for my photography.  It's great being able to photograph families and all of the stuff that we're doing on our little homestead.

When we live a simple life, we get back to our roots and do what we are supposed to do!
